The confidence all that affords is priceless, and fun! Plus this setup can use the high-performance and low-cost Performance Friction 93 pads. Pagid and Hawk brand pad work well also. The front and rear pads are interchangeable.
Having the simple pad-changing mechanism and the moderate cost pads, there is no reason to ever have to compromise on braking capability.
The racecar is also equipped with a brake-bias control, within hands reach of the driver. This is useful especially in long races when pad wear or tire temperature can be excessive. A minor and simple adjustment, from right there in the cockpit, can make a huge difference in finishing a race competitively.
